中国材料科学在综合1区。中国科学材料区域：材料科学大类共计期刊373本：其中一区49本（前14%）、二区69本（1%-64%）、三四区255本（64%-）。工程技术大类的期刊数减少了很多，一部分分到了材料科学类。SCIE+SSCI+ESCI中科院一区二区三区四区范围收录期刊为自然科学期刊(SCIE)、社会科学期刊(SSCI)和ESCI收录的中国期刊(自科+社科)。SCIE+SSCI+ESCI中科院学科设置18个大类： 数学、物理与天体物理、化学、材料科学、地球科学、环境科学与生态学、农林科学、生物学、医学、心理学、计算机科学、工程技术、管理学、经济学、法学、教育学、人文科学和综合性期刊。注：人文科学，只包括被SCIE和SSCI收录的哲学、历史、语言学和新闻传播学期刊，未囊括 A&HCI 的期刊。

大体上是前5%是一区，6%~20%是二区，21%到50%是三区，其他四区。百分比貌似按向上取整。对照一项就明白的。其实，材料在工程技术分类中的问题在于一区期刊太多，重新分区导致的材料二区掉落主要是因为一区掉的太多。也就是说其实单看二区和以下期刊的话，其实材料的占比大体上是和其他工程技术类一样的，区别在于一区期刊的数量。所以结论是材料重新分区只对高端玩家有影响，其中对材料的影响较大对工程技术的影响相对较小。对于二区期刊及以下来说，影响可以忽略。综合来看，受影响较大的是传统材料方向（如果Acta等真的掉出一区的话），该行业在高校科研中基本凉了。
