《铁道科学与工程学报》是中南大学主办的以理工为主的综合性学术刊物。1979年创刊，1982年公开改进，主要刊登土木工程、建筑工程、交通工程、自动控制、计算机科学与技术、运输管理工程、机电工程、数学力学、基础研究等方面的学术论文。1992年被子列为全国中文核心期刊，1994年被列为美国Ei Page数据库核心期刊。
